Welcome to Hollowtop Farms! We are a small-acreage sustainable permaculture farm and nursery in the hills of Tennessee with a passion for helping aspiring gardeners and farmers establish their own pieces of paradise.

Hollowtop Farms is aptly named, as it sits just above our little hollow in the beautiful forested hills of Hickman County, just outside of Nashville. Founded in 2018 by country musician Matt Hundley, the farm functions not only as a homestead, but as an experimental model in high-yield sustainable small acreage commercial agriculture. Feel free to contact Hollow Top Farms with any questions!

Comfrey is one of the most versatile plants you can have on your land.

Aside from its various medicinal and healing properties, comfrey has many uses for the permaculture farmer and gardener including adding crucial nutrients to compost piles and directly into soil when you chop it, drop it, and let it decompose.

Comfrey is also a powerful ingredient for homemade fertilizers. This particular strain, russian comfrey root bocking #4, has an NPK ratio of 1.8 - 0.5 - 5.3 and is ideal for making teas and composts.
