A dual-purpose meat and egg bird, Cuckoo Marans are a great addition to any farm or homestead. They produce rich dark brown eggs, often with a dark speckled pattern. Cuckoo Marans are also a beautiful breed to look at with their feathers which feature an alternating array of dark and light gray colored bars. They're great free rangers and tolerable to both hot and cold conditions.
